Mosaic Art

I began making mosaic art in 2001 when I made tiles and glazed them for the mosaic arches installed at the Sanchez Art Center.  The arches were a community project that was directed by Jude Pittman.  I continued working with Jude Pittman, Nina McAlexander and others on community based mosaic projects.   That artwork is installed at the Ocean Shore School, Cabrillo School and Vallemar School in Pacifica and at the College of San Mateo. Fourteen mosaic panels (2’ x 4’) depicting life in various oceanic zones such as Deep Sea, Wetland, and Coral Sea are hanging at Ocean Shore School.  There is a 50-foot mosaic footpath at Cabrillo School.  Vallemar School installed mosaic posts and stepping-stones produced by graduating eighth classes.  I have also completed my own mosaic artwork on display in my studio at the Sanchez Art Center.
