MAKING MOSAIC CREATIONS & CERAMICS FOR KIDS
MAR. 17 - APR. 21 (6 weeks) Tuesdays, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Ages 6 - 12 $150
Instructor: Kathy Miller (Minimum 4 students; maximum 6); Ceramics Lab
The class begins with designing a mosaic on paper, followed by making glaze bisque tiles with vibrant colors and unique designs. Next the students will assemble a 10" x 10" wooden frame, glue the mosaic together, and complete with grout. Students are encouraged to bring small objects that hold personal meaning to incorporate into their mosaics. Other ceramic projects will incorporate slab, coil, and pinch techniques. Use your imagination with these techniques to build imaginary creatures and sculptures. All ceramic projects will be colorfully glazed and fired.
